Paper World – Works on Paper from Around the World, a new exhibition opens with the New Year. The exhibition presents a selection of works on paper. The exhibition includes various works on paper created by major international artists of the 20th century.
The exhibition presents a wide range of works on paper displaying a variety of modes of expression. Paper is considered an intimate and humble medium in character, which allows the artists to convey a variety of moving and exciting experiences when contending with the limitations of the medium. Some artists draw delicate and precise intrinsic details of personal portraits, while others create colorful, intensive paintings.
The exhibition presents works by prominent artists considered leaders of 20th century art, artists that have formulated styles and made deep cultural impact. These artists are renowned for their oil paintings, while at the same time created an important body of works on paper, This important aspect of their oeuvre is less known to the general public and this exhibition strives to expand familiarity with these important works.
The artists whose works will be on display include: Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, George Rouault, Fernand Leger, Edouard Vuillard, Jacques Villon, Jankel Adler, Bela Kadar, Max Liebermann, Jules Pascin, Karel Appel, Alexander Calder, Mark & Albert Tobey, Gregoire Michonze, Mane Katz , Salvador Dali, Maris Bishofs,
and Fernandez Arman.
